VAPS 145-002 was part of the ‘Production Assembler Certification Basic and Advanced Skills’ course that occurred in June 2019. Production employees who completed the course, have a certificate of completion on file in a folder on the Course structure page within the Learning Management System (LMS) and shall be considered trained in VAPS 145-002 Electrical Bonding of Aircraft course.
Those employees who did not participate and complete the ‘Production Assembler Certification Basic and Advanced Skills’ course, will be expected to take this course format and shall have their training recorded under this stand-alone course for VAPS 145-002.
It remains mandatory for employees to complete the training to specification (VAPS) and the OJT before they perform the work. However, due to the Qualification sessions being on hold, the Employees will be deemed ‘trained’, and it will be up to the Production Manager to ensure employees are able to perform this task.
Production Managers will select ‘approved trainers’ for the ‘OJT’ and the ‘Special/Critical’ VAPS going forward. ‘Form-007-25 Trainer Approval’ will be filled out, and on file for each ‘trainer’
***Note: An employee who has a ‘Production Assembler Certification Basic and Advanced Skills’ Certificate on file, but who is not currently in a 'Production’ role, is not permitted to perform Production work. Their attendance in the course was for information purposes only.
***Note: See the 'Production Assembler Certification Basic and Advanced Skills’ course on the LMS for a complete list of VAPS that were included in that course.
