This 5-day intensive hands-on course is intended for auditors who want to develop their skills towards becoming an AS9100 Aerospace Experience Auditor. It is based on the current Aviation, Space and Defense requirements of AS9100 Rev D and AS9101 Rev F, both of which will be discussed in detail. The requirements of AS9104/1 and the auditor-related portions of AS9104/3 will also be covered, along with reference to many of the related aerospace standards. Extensive workshop and case study activity will focus on the auditing techniques as referenced by ISO 19011:2011 and AS9101F.
This highly participative course provides comprehensive instruction on auditing quality management systems and follows the basic steps of a quality management system audit of an aerospace manufacturing facility, from audit preparation and completion to reporting and corrective action. While the focus is primarily on external audits, such as third-party and supplier audits, the information is easily adaptable to internal audits. The case studies simulate an actual audit and a course examination is conducted on the last day.
Course Objective
- To provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead audit teams in auditing management systems in accordance with ISO 19011.
- To meet the training requirements for the Exemplar Global (TPECS) Auditor Certification Program, Competency Units AU and TL.
- This course can be combined with a sector-specific course such as Auditing a Quality Management System, or the Auditing an Environmental System, to form a 4-day lead auditor course, or may be taken separately.
- Throughout the course, a series of activities will provide the opportunity for attendees to demonstrate the knowledge they have gained. The course uses a detailed case study to conduct practical in-class activities.
